I've been trying to gather some info from Mike as to
what he wanted to say about himself and Shelly but I guess
I ought to do it.
I want to tell the story about how Mike and I met.
Mike and I went to the same High School but we hung out with
different groups of people. I knew who he was, but didn't think he
knew me. Anyway, I was working as a lifeguard in a small town
20 miles away in the summer of 1982.
I got alot of attention from the girls there,(it was a small town)and one of the
girls asked me if I knew Mike Newkirk. I said I knew who he was
and she said he was good-looking .
I never thought about it
until......
It was about the middle of
July and I stopped to get gas at a Kwik Shop and
Mike pulled in to the pump next to me. I asked him if he knew
this girl and he said he wasn't sure and why did I want to know.
I told him what she said and suggested we go over there
and I point her out. So he picked me up an hour later and we went over.
Ever since then we have been best friends.
I have other stories to tell and will tell about Mike and
a few about Shelly. So check back and see what other stories
I have to tell.
